    Where do my files go?

    Nowhere. All merging happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDFs are never sent over the internet, never touch a server, and are never stored. When you close the tab, they're gone.

    What is the file size limit?

    There's no hard limit imposed by us. Because processing happens in your browser, the practical limit depends on your device's memory. We'll show a gentle warning if your total exceeds 100 MB, but you can still proceed.

    Does it work on mobile?

    Yes. HobbyPDF works on phones, tablets, and desktops in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. The interface is fully touch-friendly.

    Do you store anything?

    No. We don't collect, store, or transmit your files, and we don't use analytics or tracking cookies. There is no database behind this tool because there is nothing to store.

    Can I merge encrypted PDFs?

    Password-protected or encrypted PDFs usually need to be unlocked first. If a file is encrypted, the merge may fail and we'll let you know which file caused it. Remove the protection in your PDF viewer, then try again.
